I love Flyleaf and Paper Tongues both. I saw them on tour together.

Flyleaf is so cool to their fans. If you pre-order their new album, Memento Mori through i-Tunes, you get extra music not available on the regular release. Check it out:

The lyrics say - THIS, These are the lyrics I got from the record company when I reviewed the album. I didn't transcribe them or life them from one of the lyrics sites.

No problem I just wanted to be sure you knew where I got the Lyrics. BTW where did you hear the song. I didn't think the Cd was out yet.

i havent heard it. i was just asking because this hell made less sense than the hell but i would be surprised to hear flyleaf use language like that so i was just curious as to what you heard them say on the album. i would be kind of let down to hear them say something like that bc while it isnt the worst word to say, it probably isnt the best word to say on an album that seems so Christ based.

I mean this in the best way possible and with much love as a fellow Christian, however Hell is a place and as a Christian, which I will assume you are based on your comment, you should understand that better than anyone. They aren't using Hell as a mere curse word, if they were I would completely understand you being a little upset. Flyleaf is using the term literally. They literally want Hell and all that belongs to it to leave and get out of their way. Thus the use of the word it perfectly accurate.

Really, I cannot understand how Christians can be so ignorant and judgmental. It is like when people use the term "damned" or "damnation" accurately and Christians get all up in arms about it. Both "Hell" and both forms of "Damn" are in the Bible and when used appropriately I have no problem with it, I might have to do a double-take to see how they are using it but after that I will have no qualms.

Good grief, people even get in trouble when referring to a donkey as an "ass." For Pete's sake, it was an animal (not to mention an animal found in the BIBLE) long...LONG before it was a curse word referring to the gluteal region.

Really, I say this with much love and knowing that I myself am certainly nowhere even close to perfect, I just sincerely hope you will learn from this. Please, "Judge not lest you be judged" (Matthew 7:1) That's not to say that if they are truly in the wrong to ignore it, but please, do your research and pray before you jump to conclusions about such things. Also remember Matthew 7:3-5.

God bless and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season :)

i appreciate what you just said and i understand all that. i commented on that before i heard the album because i wasnt sure if it was a typo or something. that song is now one of my favorites on the album. also, in in the dark, i dont have a problem with them saying damn because i understand the context. thanks for making me look stupid though

I'm sorry. Honestly, I am. I just get really upset when I hear... or, erm... read people say stuff like that. I find it is a total turn off for Christianity for non-Christians.

I told you I'm FAR from perfect and I will never argue otherwise. There was no more to the original post about not appreciating the use of "Hell" so yeah, I figured that that was all there was to it. Once again, sorry. Though, in a general sense, my original post still stands... just not for you. :)

Anyway! One of the few times I am glad to be totally and epically wrong. ^_^

oh its really fine. i totally understand and feel the same way as a christian. i just feel like cussing by christians really kills a christian witness and i was hoping flyleaf, my favorite band, wouldnt cuss and i am so glad they didnt.
