Awhile back I got to see the band third from first perform live in butler at the net. after the show I was talking to the band and they gave me their CD to play on the show. which I was happy to play. Third from first has an awesome rocking live show and their CD nothing if not more of the same.

It is clear from the beginning of the CD that the showmanship I saw on stage has carried over onto what is a hard rocking CD that anyone would be proud to have in their collection. The combination of Heavy guitar and Drums with worship is not something strange to me but all to often I feel like the song becomes more important than the actual worship. This is not something I feel when I listen to the worship songs on this CD. I believe that the bands performance is an act of worship for them.

I was also happy to hear that the entire CD was not all rocking guitars and Banging Drums. The song “Little Girl” which I can completely imagine as an 80’s altar call song, and I am not belittling this song. THe words are a clear and passionate call to hurting that Jesus is here and he not only understands but as the words say,

Little Girl
Christ knows your name
Little Girl
Christ knows your pain
Little Girl
Christ felt it to
when he died for you
Jesus took it all

So I end this review by telling you that I am giving the CD 3.75 stars out of 5 and I encourage you to check it out. You can pick up the CD and more online at http://www.thirdfromfirst.com/store/

I end the review with the Song “Little Girl
