The welcoming is a call to worship for His people to actively respond with great zeal and offer our sacrifice of praise. It is an invitation to the one true God to receive our thoughts, affections, and actions.”

Well it is clear to me from the first song to the last that this is first and foremost a worship CD. Each of the 11 songs are clearly in the camp of “POP WORSHIP” and remind me strongly of Dave Crowder and bands like Mercy Me and Casting Crowns. With this kind of talent I can only imagine what he can bring to a real worship service.

There are several songs on the CD that I am looking forward to playing on the podcast. This CD has the same failing that seems to curse most albums in the “POP WORSHIP” genre. As I would listen to the CD there were several times when I felt like the songs on the CD started to blend. At least once I had to check the Track number on the CD player to see if I was still on the same song or if I had gone on to the next. I would of liked a greater variety in the tempo and style of the songs on the CD

This being said there are two songs on the CD I really enjoy. These two songs stood out to me from among the others. The first was Track #2 Grace Forever and the second being the last track on the CD with very well done version of “O Come O Come Emmanuel” Both songs will be assured to find their way onto the podcast. Over all I find Kyle Cantrell and his band to be very talented and the music well produced. As a “POP WORSHIP” album goes I give the CD 4 stars out of 5.You can purchase Kyle’s Music at his website (linked above) or on Itunes
